OWS Protests Influence of Money in Politics

Washington, Dec 7. -Occupy Wall Street Movement (OWS) celebrates on Wednesday a day of action against the undue influence of money in politics. The actions in the capital are part of a great demonstration that began on Tuesday and will last until Thursday chanting the slogan "Take back the Capitol", according to the local press.

Activists plan to meet at the McPherson Square, where police forces arrested 31 persons last weekend and destroyed a wooden shelter built by the protesters.

A march will leave the Square heading for K Street, where most of the companies that lobby members of Congress and federal agencies are located.

At 17:00, the group will head for the White House.

The OWS will then march to the Supreme Court of Justice to protest a controversial decision related to the diffusion of political propaganda financed by unions or corporations for the forthcoming 2012 presidential elections.

On Tuesday, members of the OWS and people affected by the mortgage crisis rallied through the neighborhood of Brooklyn demanding banks to give back the "houses they stole" from several families. (Prensa Latina)
