About 30 posters are shown in the Expo Holguin, as part of the 7th International Colloquium for the Release of the Cuban Five and Against Terrorism, opened from Wednesday to Sunday.
Members of the institution stated that the exhibition includes works from all over the country, to inform the world about the injustice against the Cuban Five, imprisoned since 1998 because they infiltrated and monitored terrorist groups based in south Florida which planned and carried out actions against the Cuban and U.S. people.
Entitled "Libertad Ahora! Los queremos en casa" (Freedom Now! We want them back), some of the posters seek to press U.S. President Barack Obama, to sign the release of Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Gerardo Hernandez, who serve long sentences in U.S prisons.
They also press for the return to Cuba of Rene Gonzalez, another of the Five and the first to complete his prison sentence, who has to remain in the USA for three years more on "supervised release."
According to the Association, the posters have traveled with the Cuban delegations to several meetings and became graphical elements for the organizations of friendship with Cuba and the International Committee to Free the Cuban Five in its work for more than a decade. (Prensa Latina)
