Venezuela Demands Terrorist Posada Carriles Extradition

Caracas, Oct 7. -Venezuelans and Cubans demanded in this capital to the United States the extradition of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles to Caracas, to be tried for the explosion in midair of a Cubana de Aviacion airplane and other crimes.National Assembly Second Vice President Blanca Eekhout, Cuban ambassador to Venezuela Rogelio Polanco, and one of Posada Carriles´ victims, Brenda Esquivel, demanded on Thursday U.S. President Barack Obama to end impunity to do justice.

The requests were made during a ceremony on the occasion the 35th anniversary of the explosion of a Cuban civil aircraft with 73 people aboard, among them the island´s fencing team, many Guyanese students, and North Korean officials.

In front of Cuban collaborators, youths from the national fencing team, and people in general, Polanco recalled the event in which 73 people were killed.

"Not to judge Posada, the Washington administration is violating the Montreal Protocol on the Protection of Civil Aviation and the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings," the diplomat stated. (Prensa Latina)
