Sixth Political Counseil of ALBA Established in Venezuela

Maduro said Friday he will discuss with his counterparts and representatives of Cuba, Antigua and Barbuda, Nicaragua, Ecuador, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Bolivia and Dominica peace proposals to be submitted to the United Nations Organization, the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and the African Union.

ALBA approved earlier in March several initiatives to support the Libyan people through dialogue, political and diplomatic methods, and avoid the intervention of the Atlantic Treaty Organization and the armed conflict, Maduro said

In addition to the situation in Lybia, members of the ALBA will review activities planned by the United Nations for the annual sessions that will begin from next week, like the Palestine cause.

Maduro stressed that the Counseil will evaluate the preparations for the foundational Summit of Latin American and Caribbean States after confirming the appointment for December 2 and 3 in Caracas.

The Summit will also discuss the strengthening and consolidation of the Union of South American Nations, the Central American Integration System and the Caribbean Community.
