Uruguay to Finals in Copa America Tourney

La Plata, Argentina, Jul 20. -Uruguay beat Peru 2-0 on Tuesday, playing better in all aspects of the game, in the first semifinal of the 2011 Copa America soccer tournament. Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez scored two goals (53�, 57�) and led his team to victory at the Unico Stadium in La Plata.Uruguay will fight for the title on Sunday at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires against the winner of Wednesday's match between Venezuela and Paraguay.

The Uruguayans recurred again to a tough defense, with two defensive mid-fielders ready to stop any Peruvian attacks, and attacking leaders Diego Forlan and Suarez full of suprises.

Peru was supported by spirited mid-fielder Juan Vargas, who constantly dueled with Uruguayan defender Diego Lugano to join Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero while leading the attack.
