Duel of Jamaican Sprinters in RomeRome, Mar 24. -Italian organizers of the third leg of the Diamond League announced in this capital the participation of Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell next May 26 in the 100m race.

Olympic and World champion and World record holder at 100m, 200m, and 4x100m, Usain Bolt will face his Jamaican compatriot Asafa Powell, the former holder of the World 100m record, on the third leg of the Samsung Diamond League circuit in 2011.

That will be the first time Bolt will take part in a competition in this capital. Both runners will be making their season debuts in that European circuit.

Another great challenge, a double one, will also be seen on Rome's track in the women's sprints performed by USA's reigning World champions Sanya Richards (400m) and Allyson Felix (200m).

They are in a good shape as they are training for the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011.

Kenyan David Rudisha, 800m world record holder, also announced his participation in this competition although no worthy opponent has appeared yet. (Prensa Latina)
