Literature opens Southern Camagüey Culture Weekend

Santa Cruz del Sur, Mar 19. –Members of the Mirta Aguirre Workshop in Santa Cruz del Sur, initiated this Thursday the Local Literature Encounter-Debate, and with it, they welcomed the local Culture Weekend in the current year.

During the morning event it was displayed a wide spectrum of genres addressed to groups of all ages with infant and adult poetry reading, and also some narrative.

For the official opening of the Culture Weekend it was carried out an inaugural parade, from A street til the square in front of the central park, where there were local leaders and a vast participation of the people, which honored the 140th anniversary of the creation of Santa Cruz del Sur as a Municipality.

The festive program continued last night with a space dedicated to the art expressions, presented by instructor Evelio Olazábal and his fans, which rook place at the Olga Alonso Culture House. .(Yamilé Agrenot Castillo / Radio Santa Cruz)
