Tokyo, Mar 11. -Northern Japan was shaken by a 8.8-magnitude earthquake on Friday, leading authorities to decree a tsunami alert.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake, while Japan´s meteorology agency said it was a 7.9-magnitude quake.
The quake shook all the areas of the Pacific Coast, including Tokyo and Osaka, with several injuries reported.
The quake was registered at 14:46 local time, with an epicenter 10 kilometers underwater.
