Cuban Promotional Campaign at Tourist Fair in China
Beijing, Nov. 20. -The promotional campaign Authentic Cuba is bringing tourism offers of the Caribbean country closer to potential Chinese travellers at an international tourism fair in Shanghai.
In this latest effort to promote Cuban tourism, representatives of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), Havanatur Asia, and the Cuseko Travel-San Cristobal Agency, are taking part in this fair.
The strategy of Mintur in the world´s second largest economy, this time at China´s International Tourism Fair, is supported by extensive information with images on facilities, recreational programs, attractions, and developing plans of this industry, as well as contacts with company executives.
"Our participation in China International Travel Mart is part of a campaign to continue increasing the visit of more tourists to Cuba," the chief of the Cuban Tourism Ministry´s office in China, Elizabeth Vela, told Prensa Latina.
The Cuban presence in the biggest fair of this type in Asia closes a series of exhibitions of Authentic Cuba begun last July in Beijing, including the cities of Xi an, in Shaanxi province, Hangzhou (Zhejiang), Guangzhou (Guandong), Xiamen (Fujian), Jinan (Shandong), and the Special Administrative region of Macao.
Vela said that the Cuban offer is very welcome at tourism fairs in China because it facilitates major information on other options apart from the sun and beach attraction (Prensa Latina)
