The renowned director Fernández will also participate in the festival with Martí, el ojo del canario (Marti, the eye of the canary), an approach to the teenage years of Marti, reflecting the spiritual heritage of the island. Depicting Martí in his formative years of personality and character, this is a deeply moving and revealing film.
The number of materials in the contest, produced by the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) will increase soon to include documentaries and cartoons, which demonstrates the development of a film industry in the face of financial constraints.(Prensa Latina)
