Exhibition at the Santa Cruz del Sur Museum honors Cuban Culture Day
Santa Cruz del Sur, Oct 20. –Many allegorical objects to the national cultural heritage will be exposed to the people this October 20th at the Local Museum in Santa Cruz del Sur. This is a commemoration to the Cuban Culture Day.
In the showcases the people will be able to see a Cuban Flag that belonged to Commander Aniceto Recio Pedroso, notable Santa Cruz born patriot, and a saber used during the Independence Wars.
Likewise there is an exposition of tools from the African Culture such as the traditional mortar, China dinner service from the colonial and the pseudo-republican times, and trumpet that belonged to the Local Concert Band during the 40s.
Parallel to this exhibition, but at the Najasa Movie Theatre of the city, the show of the month dedicated to the Haitian Culture is presented, where the audience will see objects and utensils belonging to the most indigenous customs and traditions of the Caribbean people, inserted in our everyday life.
This expo dedicated to the National Culture Day will be present in the rooms of the Local Museum until December 14th, date dedicated to the Culture Workers, and there, the people form Southern Camagüey will have the chance to enjoy of a part of the local and Cuban history.
