Capacity building in Santa Cruz del Sur for the upcoming elections

Santa Cruz del Sur, Apr 9. -More than 800 people that will make up the polling station in Santa Cruz del Sur in the upcoming elections (April 25th), will finish this week the preparation about the elections: according to René Magadán Blanco, President of the Local Electoral Commission.

Magadán Blanco, highlighted that the preparation is focused on how to work with the models and electoral roll that are going to be used in the votes, how to exercise the vote, the count of the ballot papers, definition of the nominee elected and  partial and total information to the circumscription’s commission.

Magadán said that in these moments the Popular Councils of Flor de Mayo, Forestal, La Caobita and Haití are already qualified and the Popular Council of La Jagua also received the training, while Cándido González and El Carmen are going to be entitled today.

This capacity building will finish next April 10th with the Popular Council of Arroyo Blanco. These contacts with the members of the polling station of Santa Cruz del Sur aim also to exchange knowledge about the Cuban Electoral Process, to ensure that what it is legally established is observed.
