Damascus Condemns U.S. Anti-Syrian StanceDamascus, Nov 11. – Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallen condemned a statement by the U.S. department of State urging Arab Countries to join the political and economic boycott against Syria.

In a letter addressed to Secretary General of the Arab League (AL) Nabil al-Arabi, al-Moallen warns that such interference infringes the statutes of the AL Charter and the nature of the agreement reached between Damascus and that regional organization.

The regional organization scheduled to meet this weekend at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, to assess the situation in Syria.

The government of President Bashar al-Assad reiterates its commitment of enforcing all the issues stipulated in the agreement reached with the Ministerial Committee of the Arab League, despite the reports released by different television channels distorting reality, notes al-Moallen in his letter to al-Arabi.

Syrian permanent representative to the Arab League Yousef Ahmad will present all the details of the steps taken by Damascus in accordance with the agreement at the plenary of the organization, al-Moallen underlined.(Prensa Latina)
