More than 9,000 works in Nicaragua for Water Use

Managua, Jan 27. -Nicaragua carries out more than 9,000 works to improve the retention and use of water for agriculture and domestic supply, reported the coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council, Rosario Murillo.The investments include dams, wells and reservoirs to collect rainwater so that it is reusable, said Murillo in her usual exchange with people through television.

The Institute of Rural Development works in 8,782 facilities, while the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has 307, she said.

She also said that 21,000 families will be trained in the use of macro and micro tunnels to produce vegetables with the sustainable management of water resources. (Prensa Latina)
