Santa Cruz del Sur inhabitants to pay tribute to Martí birth’s anniversary

This Saturday January 28th, the inhabitants from Santa Cruz del Sur will pay tribute to José Martí, Cuba’s National Hero, a date marking the 159th anniversary his admirable and prolific life.With that motive, citizens from this city will gather today at 8: pm in front of the central park, so as to march all together to the José Martí School where the parade in homage to the apostle will finish.

Like every January 28th, an intense cultural activity based on the work of The Master will be carried out, which will be performed by the children, for whom he wrote the Golden Age Magazine, which inception in only one copy has turned into bedtime reading for many Cubans and it has gone beyond the boundaries of the island.
