Santa Cruz del Sur workers contribute to substitute imports
As a result of the world economic crisis, in Cuba, every enterprise takes into account the substitution of imports, a choice that apart from constituting an alternative in Santa Cruz del Sur, shows an enterprise saving concerning the material resources they have at their disposal.
Such work brought about a saving of more than 100 million convertible pesos. Where it is important to highlight the effort of every enterprise and the implementation of initiatives in their every day work.
All along 2011, not only in Santa Cruz del Sur, but in the whole island, the work and suggestions by professionals have united strengths so as to obtain an economy improvement, result exhibited during the last session of the National Assembly of the People’s Power during December 23rd and 24th, where the Army General Raúl Castro Ruz announced that the Cuban Gross Product increased this year to a 2.7 percent, and it will continue to increase step by step.
There is no doubt that the substitution of imports, mainly in the food production, has contributed to such event, that is why Santa Cruz del Sur citizens have made efforts and from the lands emerge the seeds which adorn the fields and take food to every home, because the effort of every farmer of this territory has proved it.(Yamile Agrenot Castillo)
