Cochabamba, Bolivia, Dec 15. – The Plurinational Legislative Assembly in Bolivia begins work on Thursday on a package of at least 44 draft laws to give effect to proposals of the social summit commissions, whose first stage recently concluded.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hector Arce, said the assembly has a working agenda that would be adjusted according to the conclusions and requirements of this event, which strengthens the process of change led by President Evo Morales in Bolivia.
Arce said he has a list of all roundtable discussions that will begin work as of today, so that in January the Legislative can make proposals to give effect to those initiatives.
All proposals will be agreed by consensus next year for priorization and later approval in the legislative body, Arce noted.
The meeting concluded with a series of proposals from social, union, peasant, student, women and indigenous organizations, business people and teachers, to implement new laws, projects and programs to improve the people´s lives.
