Floods Kill 615 in Thailand
Bangkok, Nov 25. -Thailand mourns nearly 615 people after the terrible floods that have been affecting this country for four months.Floods have affected over five million people in 17 provinces, including the southern Songkla and the capital, according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation.
The worst floods in the last 50 years in Thailand damaged seven industrial parks, forced to delay the beginning of the academic year and thousands of people to live in shelters.
The Irrigation Department expects that the streets in Bangkok will be dry again within two weeks.
The disaster began in July when rivers and swamps in the northern and central regions of Thailand overflowed due to heavy rains caused by the monsoon and three tropical storm in a row. (Prensa Latina)
