Angolan Parliamentary Leader Ends Cuba Visit
Havana, Nov 23. -The president of the Angolan Parliament, Antonio Paulo Kassoma, on Wednesday concludes his official agenda of his visit to Cuba with the signing of a final declaration.Kassoma arrived in the island on November 18, to fulfill an extensive agenda, including talks with his Cuban peer Ricardo Alarcon. They highlighted the strong ties of unity existing between the respective peoples.
Kassoma also paid tribute to the island´s internationalists who died fighting for the independence of the African country, and the first President of his nation, Agostinho Neto (1922-1979).
During activities in Cuba, the African parliamentary leader highlighted the Cuban steps to update the economic model and strengthen the socialist system.
The objective of his visit is to boost links, in tune with close bilateral relations between both governments and peoples.
The Angolan legislator also met with relatives of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly held in the United States. (Prensa Latina)
