Eleven Countries Confirm Attendance to FITVEN 2011
Caracas, Oct 21. -Venezuelan authorities reported Thursday that 11 countries have confirmed participation in the International Tourism Fair in Venezuela (FITVEN 2011), scheduled from October 22 to 25 on Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta.According to David Pinto, a Venezuelan Tourism Ministry official on Margarita Island, the countries that confirmed attendance are: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Indonesia, Nicaragua and Spain.
FITVEN 2011 will cover an area of 13,400 square meters (144,236 square feet) with a national pavilion and 10 for participants from Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
"One of the main objectives of the fair will be to create strategic alliances," Pinto said, hold negotiations, promote tourist packages and sell handicrafts.
The official referred to an agreement with representatives from the Santiago Mariño International Airport and the terminals of the companies Conferry and Naviarca to set up bilingual servers in the areas with the biggest traffic of passengers during the event.
"With the presence of the promoters we expect to offer the friendliest welcome to tourists and guests during the event," said Pinto.
Colombia will be the guest of honor, and will promote its landscapes and culture. (Prensa Latina)
