Santiago de Chile, Sep 30. -The country needs a left-wing alternative directed to the necessary institutional change different from the state terrorism implemented by the dictatorship, the Punto Final magazine reported Friday.According to the Punto Final magazine, while the political and social crisis increases in the country, the absence of such an alternative becomes more relevant.
Thus the Constitution needs to be changed by a Constitutional Assembly, which should be elected democratically, and the Left-wing faction should face this challenge while renewing itself, the Punto Final said.
The majority rejection to the neoliberal system also includes demands such as a new Constitution, plebiscite, participation, public health and education, housing, tax reform, abolition of the binomial electoral system, and re-nationalization of the copper industry. (Prensa Latina)
