Cuban Circus to Visit Brazil in 2012 Havana, Aug 16 .- Famous Brazilian actor Marcos Frota has started to make arrangements here to take the Cuban circus to his country for a visit in 2012, amid the cultural program preparations prior to the FIFA World Cup and the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

In remarks to Prensa Latina, Frota, also director of the first free circus university in Brazil, said that he will bring his Unicirco Company to Cuba in the first semester of 2012.

Impressed by the warm welcome of the audience, who still remember his Tonho da Lúa character in the soap opera "Mujeres de Arena," Frota chaired the Critics and Image jury of the recently concluded 10th Circuba 2011 International Festival.

"Cuba has made a big impact on me. I have seen a very big social consciousness, and chiefly a great feeling of peace," he said.

Admirer of the Cuban Revolution and its leader Fidel Castro since he was a little boy, the Brazilian actor said that his first visit to Cuba has made him verify for himself the social equality prevailing in the country.

Marcos Frota (Sao Paulo, 1955) was professor of the Visual Arts School in Sao Caetano do Sul, where he started his career as an actor in 1978.(Prensa Latina)
