Santa Cruz del Sur, May 28. –All schools from Cándido González Popular Council in Santa Cruz del Sur, work to guarantee the final period of the 2010-2011 school year, and for the condition of school ready for the coming year, stated Generoso González González, Education representative in that town.
The education infrastructure there has eight schools, two rural and six urban schools, with a roll of 889 students, comprehending all years.
The staff is made up of 111 teachers, who work according to the seven prioritized objectives in the Education Ministry.
La Espiguita Dorada Children Care Center and Jorge Oquendo Tamayo Primary School play a prominent role in the education work, one of the institutions integrated to the UNICEF Program in the territory.
