Nicaragua Attends Anti-Drug Meeting in Costa RicaManagua, Mar 29. -A Nicaraguan delegation attended the first meeting on Monday in Costa Rica of the so-called San Jose Agreement on the fight against drug trafficking in the Caribbean.

This is the first implementation forum of the Agreement Concerning Co-operation in Suppressing Illicit Maritime and Air Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in the Caribbean, also known as the San Jose Agreement, in which representatives of both countries are participating simultaneously after the March 8 ruling of the International Court of Justice in the Hague on their border conflict.

The meeting includes an analysis of the results to date as well as possible actions for strengthening cooperation between both countries.

This agreement has been ratified by Belize, the United States, France, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Holland, while other countries such as Nicaragua have signed it but have not ratified it. (Prensa Latina)
