Havana, Mar. 10. -The restoration work of the Historical Center and other places of the Cuban capital has the human factor as its main goal, said Havana Historian Eusebio Leal. In a statement to Prensa Latina, Leal said that it is not only about a recreation of HavanaâÖs beauty and architecture, but also calling the attention on social matters, such as housing and environment.
"We make emphasis on the role of the elementary school, the junior, and senior high school, the workshop school, the women, the treatment of gender, the children, and the elderly," said Leal.
The Historical Center has been locally and internationally awarded, including the World Heritage award given by UNESCO.
