Osmara Matos Diaz, an architect turned into an artisan A severe rheumatoid arthritis rushed Osmara Matos Diaz’s retirement and she was forced to quit her working life 17 years ago. This Architect did not seek for room in the personal sorry. As a child, her paternal grandmother taught her to knit, to make paper chains, and much other simple stuff.

Determined not to let unemployment get into my life, I started to improve what I already knew, until I got to elaborate more complex things.

She broadens her creative horizons. And so it emerged, from her hardworking hands, several kinds of macramé, embroidered and sewed pieces, and in a smaller quantity, the wood craving, because it demands more effort, as you can see, my health condition does not allow it to me.

The small artists and the art instructors, members of the Papalote Community Project, are interested into Osmara’s work, they have asked her to work with them in order her to teach them al of her exquisite potential. “And I will do it; these children will be able of developing many abilities”.
