Quake Stroke Northern Chile
Santiago de Chile, Mar 7. -A quake, 6.2 degrees in Richter scale, stroke this Sunday northern Chile, an area considered the most susceptible to another major earthquake in that country.
The quake that took place at 9:31 (local time) stroke Tarapaca, Arica and Parinacota regions, which provoked panic in the citizens in those territories. However Chilean authorities discarded damage to properties and loss of human lives.
Its epicenter was located about 20 km (12,4 miles) from south Putre, a Chilean community located 2 174 miles above sea level and capital of Parinacota province, in the border wilt Bolivia and Peru.
