Working efficiently in Cultisur in order to fulfill anual planSanta Cruz del Sur, Oct 14. –Workers from the Shrimp-Breeding Enterprise in Santa Cruz del Sur plan to increase the shrimp productions in order to get close to the year benchmarking, and to achieve this, they are working harder in the final four-month period of the year.

Cultisur (name of the enterprise), which has been running for 23 years, created in this period local iniciatives, refering to the mixedcultures with some tilapia species, as an inmediate alternative considerng the substitution of importations.

Nowadays, the 393 workers of one of the main income-generating enterprises in the country, are wrking hard so as to chieve the capture of thousand tones of shrimps per year.

This is the same goal set for the next year( 2011), after the culturing that begins the current month, in more than 600 hectares fattening-ponds, in order to make bigger the next year’s production. (Yamilé Agrenot Castillo/ Radio Santa Cruz)
