Journalists in Southern Camaguey demand freedom for the Five

Santa Cruz del Sur, Sep 13. –Many activities were carried out this Sunday all over the country to demand the freedom of René, Gerardo, Fernando, Antonio andRamón, the five Cuban that have been serving unfair sentence in the United States for 12 long years. While some people climb mountains and others make long walks, the 8 members of the delegation of the Union of Journalists of Cuba in Santa Cruz del Sur carried out a voluntary work.

With this contribution they reaffirmed their decision to fight and support the cause of these five fighters against terrorism from their position.

Yanayma Rodríguez Molina, president of the UPEC in south camaguey said that the freedom of the Five largely depends on the unity of all of us. “With every day work and the strength of many comités around the World to defend the cause we will make them to be released as soon aspossible, because they tryed to avoid pain and suffering not only in Cxuba but also in the very United States”.

Rolando Canaura, reportero f Radio Santa Cruz, expressed that  “ it is time these five honorable Cubans to be reunited with their families, since there have passed 12 years  and they just sought for peace of human kind. They arei mprisoned while others, that were actually sowing pain, continue free, enjoying in that same country. That is why i believe that it is a task of all of us to keep on carrying out actions to contribute to their early release, it is time the bars to be risen and the path of freedom to be open for these country men
