Suylén Milanés to Preside Over Arts Festival for a Living Planet

Havana, Sep 3. -The first arts festival "Propositions", of popular inspiration and with singer Pablo Milanes as the president of honor, will take place at Havana Sports City (Ciudad Deportiva) on Saturday from the early hours of the morning until midnight.

The closing gala promises a show enjoyable for all generations, with the participation of musicians like Harold López-Nussa and interpreters of pop and reggaeton, including one of its most representative singers, Baby Lores, said today at a press conference the director of "Propositions", the singer Suylén Milanés.

Under the slogan "For a Living Planet", the party intends to encourage the preservation of the environment, promote exchanges between the arts and promote respect for diversity and dialogue.

Organized by the Cultural Association PM Record, the Institute of Music and Hermanos Saiz Association, the concert will feature a comprehensive program that combines interactive activities with children and young people, traditional games, antique car exhibitions, martial arts, and the Cuban school of capoeira, percussion workshops and origami techniques, said the organizers.

The event was conceived to promote remodelling and beautification of the urban environment, and will take place annually. Among the musicians participating in the closing concert are the bands Buena Fe and Habana d' Primera, as well as the soloists William Vivanco, David Torrens, and Dj's Wichy, Santi and Kike Wolf. (Prensa Latina)
