Venezuela Increases Gas Reserves and is Ninth in the World Caracas, Aug 28. -Venezuela increased its natural gas reserves to 185.2 billions of cubic feet, which places it ninth in the world, informed the state-owned Venezuelan Petroleum (PDVSA).

The increase is due to a recent discovery in Cardon IV block of the Rafael Urdaneta project, located in Venezuelan Gulf, PDVSA specified. According to PDVSA, it is an unprecedented and historic site of limestone reefs.

There is an original site of 15 TCF (Trillion Cubic Feet ),60 percent of which is recoverable.

According to PDVSA the gas reserve could increase.

Russia, Iran and Qatar are the leading countries in that kind of reserve. (Prensa Latina)
