Cuban Women at May Day Parade
Havana, Apr 15. -Cuban women will join for a first time to the International Workers' Day celebrations, in a special bloc for May Day march.
About 10,000 women will represent several Cuban women's generations and sectors at the Havana's Revolution central parade, Granma newspaper reported.
Arelys Santana, second secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), stated recently in this capital that the bloc's participation in this parade will have a great impact due to the female role in social fields and for equal rights.
The FMC and the Workers' Central Union of Cuba are working in the country's each area for the organization of the group, honoring revolutionary fighter Vilma Espin on occasion of her 80th birthday, Santana said.
Cuban workers will carry out a parade, as a respond to this Revolution sector's support faced with the new US media campaign and its allies against Cuba.(Prensa Latina)
