Cuban Antiterrorist Says Goodbye to Sara Gonzalez

Cuban Antiterrorist Says Goodbye to Sara Gonzalez Havana, Feb 3. – Antonio Guerrero, one of the five Cuban antiterrorists unjustly held in U.S. prisions since 1998, sent a letter of tribute and grief over the death of cuban singer songwriter Sara González, from his cell at the Federal Correctional Institution in Marianna, Florida.

In his letter, published on Friday on the website of Cubadebate, Guerrero regrets the death of the artist, "when we return to our beloved homeland, our Cuba that she loved and defended with her songs and her everyday actions".

He also recalled a couple of brief conversations with her in December, and said that "the founder of the Cuban New Song Movement irradiated optimism, infinite desire to continue creating, keep singing, continue giving her best for the revolution".

"No one could believe, when I listened to her talking that at the same time her health was so deteriorated", said Antonio, who was sentenced to prison in the United States, along with Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez and Ramon Labañino for gathering information about the terrorist activities by South Florida-based groups of ultra-right anti-Cuba extremists.(Prensa Latina)
