Paris: Rally vs. U.S. Blockade on Cuba

Paris, Nov 21. -The Coordinating Committee in Defense of the Cuban Revolution called for a demonstration in this capital for Friday, in rejection of the U.S.-maintained blockade for 50 years on the Caribbean island. The demonstration that takes place every month in a different site of this capital, will stage at the Bastille Square, a symbolic place of the French Revolution.

Jacques Milhas, president of the Coordinating Committee, highlighted the courage of the Cuban people, which has resisted for 50 years the effects of the U.S. trade, economic and financial siege.

In addition of requesting the end of that genocide policy, demonstrators will demand Washington to allow the return to Cuba of Rene Gonzalez, one of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters recently released from prison and forced to stay in that country on "supervised release."

The coordinating committee of solidarity will also request the release of the other four Cuban antiterrorist fighters who are currently serving unjust sentences in U.S. territory for 13 years.

Their real crime was alerting Cuba to terrorist plans hatched in southern Florida. (Prensa Latina)
