UNICEF Sponsors Youth Workshops in Cuba

Havana, Nov 1. -More than 20 workshops for youth, including several on Paleontology, Archaelogy, Health Promotion and Urban Architecture are being held in Old Havana.This project promotes art with a new approach, film criticism, fine arts, urban design, dance, radio scriptwriting and direction and announcer.

The Unicef and the Office of Havana's Historian sponsor this initiative, which will also promote the Center of Reference for Teenagers to develop their creativity and professionalism, and stimulate their sensitivity, imagination and self-esteem.

Located in Old Havana's 148th block between Teniente Rey, Habana, Muralla and Compostela, this space will allow the younger generations to learn and enjoy the industrial, scientific and technological legacy of this area.

It is also part of a comprehensive development and participative project for teens that includes la Ruta Joven, a communication strategy for that age group. (Prensa Latina)
