Carnival 2011 in Santa Cruz del Sur

The local Recreation Commission in Southern Camaguey officially announced the traditional popular parties will take place from October 21st to 23rd.Central street, Livestock Market area, Central Square, Ice-cream parlor, and some others are some of the areas chosen to carry out this local event.

These popular parties are not only going to take place in Santa Cruz del Sur city, but also in the communities and Popular Councils belonging to this municipality. On October 8th Cándido González and Haití will have their celebrations, while La Jagua and La Comunidad will their popular parties on October 15th.

There is also going to be an infant carnival in every popular council, as part of the recreation and entertainment of children, who will also have the chance to show the beginning of these kinds of parties in this southern region. (Rolando Canaura Sánchez/ Radio Santa Cruz)
