Better preparation in Santa Cruz to tackle disaster situations

Santa Cruz del Sur,May 25. -The National Exercise Meteoro 2010, developed during three days in the whole country prepared the Councils of Defence and the people from Southern Camaguey to face disaster situations, mainly those referring to earthquakes, hurricanes and seaquakes.

Workers from various sectors developed conferences on this subject last Sunday. And they also performed some practices that decrease the vulnerabilities or prepare safe places to face these extreme realities.  

Moreover the Civil Defence Information System was exercised and the answer and recuperation measures faced the disasters were stated, while the forces participating in this task were trained.

This exercise also permitted also to end the confection of the documentation established in Enterprises and Organisms at different levels, such as the necessary security for the protection of the people and the economic resources. (Yanayma Rodríguez Molina / Radio Santa Cruz)
