Camagüey: Inflow of Foreign Visitors Grow during Tourism High SeasonCamagüey, Jan 26. – Both Santa Lucia beach resort and the city of Camagüey, whose historic center appears on the Unesco's World Heritage list since 2008, have experienced a growth in the arrival of foreign visitors during the current tourism season.

In addition, we have to mention the many actions underway in the main tourism resort area of Camagüey province, including the improvement of the town's image, and that of the surrounding villages as well as the maintainance of its hotel facilities.

Furthermore, the number of tourists visiting the patrimonial town grew, once the city of Camagüey increased its accommodation capacity following the 500th anniversary of its foundation last year.

Berta Rodríguez Rodríguez, specialist in marketing and business management at the provincial office of the Ministry of Tourism, told this reporter that the key challenge is to optimize its services, which depends to a large extent on the qualifications of the staff.

The growing number of foreign visitors incoming to Camagüey favors the compliance of the sale plan in this sector and responds to a strategy which seeks to attract foreign and national clients. (Juan G. Mendoza Medina / Radio Cadena Agramonte).
