Havana, Sep 6. -The group Buena Fe sang to love, peace and freedom, in a concert that got Cubans closer to the cause for the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly held in U.S. prisons over the past 15 years.

We bring a message of peace, Joel Martinez, one of the members and vocalist of the group, told Prensa Latina.

We want a message of loyalty, love and participation to reach everyone. It is necessary to know even more the truth about these men, who were unjustly imprisoned for protecting our freedom, our sovereignty.

The concert, which attracted thousands of fans of the group, especially young people, was an idea by Rene Gonzalez, one of the five antiterrorist fighters, who served his sentence and returned home.

The Plaza Roja, located in the Havana municipality of 10 de Octubre, one of the most populated area in the Cuban capital, was the scenario for the concert on Friday.

We wanted to do this show out of traditional places that bring together a large audience, to reach more distant sites, Israel Rojas, leader of the band, said in a brief meeting with the press.

And the special guest was Rene Gonzalez.

It is a gift for the youth of this municipality, for those who are not so young and for ourselves, who learned to love Buena Fe from prison, Gonzalez told reporters.

The group sang about 20 songs, including "De proa a popa" (From Bow to Stern), inspired by the love of Adriana Perez and Gerardo Hernandez, one of the five Cubans who is serving two life sentences plus 15 years in prison.(PrensaLatina)
