US Democratic Convention against Cuba and Venezuela
Havana, Cuba, Sept 5.- US President Barack Obama will reinforce political interfering actions against Cuba and Venezuela, according to the draft program of the US Democratic Party, to be approved during its Convention underway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to PL news agency, the document, which is expected to be approved by over 6 000 democrats, includes the same old compromise of previous US administrations about taking measures against the social and political order in Cuba and Venezuela under the pretext of “promoting freedom in both countries.”
The US proposal against Havana and Caracas is an interference with the domestic affairs of both Latin American countries, as it reveals the support by Washington of destabilizing circles that try to create conflicts in the two nations, the agency explains.
The Democratic discourse in Charlotte is in tune with the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, a unilateral measure that Washington has maintained during more than 50 years against the Cuban people.
The Convention will run until Thursday in North Carolina a key state for the November 6 presidential elections. (Radio Cadena Agramonte).
