Havana, Cuba, Aug 6.- The creation of census areas, the distribution of credentials to students who will carry out the work, and the distribution of questionnaires and other materials make evident the preparations for the census in Cuba.
The 1 578 census areas will work from next August 15 in the territories, said the director of Population and Housing Census 2012, Juan Carlos Alfonso, to the newspaper Juventud Rebelde.
About 15 700 people will work in these offices for three months and they will have a great responsibility in the operations of preparation, execution and control of the statistical study to be held here from September 15 to 24.
Each area will control 12 to 18 districts in urban areas, and six to nine in rural areas, according to the characteristics of each territory. (Radio Cadena Agramonte).
