Experts from 17 Countries to Attend Forum on Preschool EducationHavana, Feb 9. – Experts and voluntary activists from 17 countries have confirmed their attendance for a meeting of preschool education in Cuba which will debate the relevance of multi-sectoral approach in early childhood education, official sources said.

The director of the Latin American Reference Center of Preschool Education, Isabel Rios, said they expect the presence of 400 delegates to the 10th International Meeting of preschool and early education.

Rio mentioned among the personalities who will attend the meeting to Emily Vargas, executive director of the Institute for Reconstruction and International Security, a nongovernmental organization based in Washington and Bogota.

Besides the United States, countries like Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and El Salvador will also attend the meeting.

From July 9 to 13, participants will discuss state, social and family responsibility in comprehensive care for children under six years of age on the basis of multi-sectoral approach.(Prensa Latina)
