AU Promotes Pan-African University

Johannesburg, Dec 23. -The African Union launched the initiative of a Pan-African University with seats in Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya and South Africa.Spatial Sciences, Energy, Climate Change, Governability and Humanities will be included in their curricula as key subjects for the continent whose introduction will enjoy support from the Association of African Universities (AAU).

South Africa will host Spatial Sciences, while Algeria will host Water and Sciences of Energy; whereas Jomo Kenyatta University (Kenya) will teach Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation.

Finally, the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, will host Life and Sciences of Earth, together with Health and Agriculture, and Younde I, Cameroon, will facilitate Governability, Humanities and Social Sciences. (Prensa Latina)
