Over 87,000 Troops to Guard Elections in Argentina

Buenos Aires, Oct 21. -More than 87,000 Army and police forces will guard general elections on October 23 in Argentina, General Electoral Commander Jorge Tellado ratified.These forces will be in charge mainly of preserving order in the polling stations and their nearby areas, as more than 28 million citizens cast their votes.Once the poll is closed at 18:00 local time on Sunday, the General Electoral Command will guard the places where the votes will be counted, he added.

Deployment of the General Electoral Command will start at 08:00 local time on Saturday and remain on active service until the final count concludes. (Prensa Latina)
