Havana, Apr. 29. -The Cuban Greco-Roman wrestling team will participate in the Pan-American Championship of Rio Negro, in Colombia, on May 4-8, Juventud Rebelde newspaper reported on Friday.
The team is led by Pablo Shorey (84 kg), twice world medalist (bronze in Herning-2009, silver in Moscow-2010); Yasnier Hernández (55kg.), continental champion in Rio de Janeiro-2007; and Raúl Consuegra (74kg.), gold medalist in Central-American games and in the Caribbean games of Cartagena de Indias-2006.
The team also includes Maikel Anache (60kg.), Alexander Casals (66kg.), Yasmany Lugo (96kg.) and Yasmany Acosta (120kg.) that will be directed by coaches Pedro Val and Filiberto Azcuy.
The first eight-per-division will be qualified for the Pan-American Games of Guadalajara, Mexico, on October 14-30. (Prensa Latina)
