Sao Paulo Forum to Meet in Nicaragua in 2011 Managua, Aug 19. – The 17th Forum of Sao Paulo will be celebrated in 2011 in Nicaragua, to greet the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the National Sandinista Liberation Front (FSLN).

Website El 19 Digital, the FSLN official website, reproduces statements by Silvio Rodriguez (PARLACEN) who said the celebration of the 2011 edition in Nicaragua also hopes to support the FSLN electoral campaign for November of that year.

FSP started its 16th edition with representatives of political parties and progressive organizations from 33 countries from Latin America and the Caribbean, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

They also condemned the coup against Manuel Zelaya in Honduras and the complete rejection of current Honduran President Porfirio Lobo.

The environment and climate change, social movements, art workers and culture, communication media and democracy, security, fighting crime and human rights are some of the topics to be discussed.(Prensa Latina)
