Over 70,000 Cuban Students and Teachers to Participate in Population Census

More than 60,000 students and some 11,000 teachers will take part in the upcoming Population and Housing Census to begin on September 15. Cira Pineiro, First Deputy Education Minister, told the press that this task force will receive special training with this purpose, from September 4th through the 14th.

A total of 1,900 Professional Technical Teaching (ETP) professors; 1,800 Higher Education professors; and some 6,600 university students will work as supervisors of the census and as advisors to those who will visit houses to put into practice the census questionnaire -over 49,300 ETP students and 4,500 from universities.
