Peculiar Museum of Honey in Cuba Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Aug 3. – The house of honey, the only one of its kind in Cuba, increases the attractions of the Guanahacabibes peninsula, a Biosphere Reserve. The peculiar museum, a project sponsored by the Canary Foundation for Social Development, displays the beekeeping tradition of the western Cuban region.

The museum shows the visitors the history and cycle of production of honey in the region, as well as a collection of equipment and tools used in the work with the beehives.

Another goal of the museum is to encourage research on flora and fauna of the peninsula, the countryâ�Ös largest forest reserve, Lazaro Marquez, director of the Guanahacabibes National Park, told Prensa Latina.(Prensa Latina)
