Chinese Vice President Ends Cuba VisitHavana, Jun 7. -Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping concludes on Tuesday an official visit to Cuba during which he met with President Raul Castro and attended the signing of 13 agreements between the two countries.

The two leaders talked about the excellent state of the Cuban-Chinese links and other international issues.

Havana and Beijing are currently implementing important cooperation projects in telecommunications, transportation, biotechnology and energy.

On Monday, Xi visited the Vedado polyclinic, in the Havana neighborhood with the same name, where he received a detailed explanation of that health center.

The Chinese official also visited the Camarioca Norte 100 oil well, near the Varadero beach resort, a result of the collaboration between the two nations.

After concluding his visit here, Xi will visit Uruguay and Chile, as part of a Latin America tour aimed at reinforcing ties between the world's No. 2 economy with this region. (Prensa Latina)
