Guatemalan Party Demands the Release of Cuban Five

Guatemalan Party Demands the Release of Cuban FiveGuatemala, Apr 18. -The Guatemalan National Revolutionary Unity party (URNG) demanded the immediate release of the Cuban Five, imprisoned in the U.S., and punishment for Luis Posada Carriles.

In a communiqué the URNG demands the end of the hypocritical, aggressive and excluding the rule of justice policy of the U.S.

This party was created in the guerrillas, during the internal armed conflict that lasted 36 years and ended in 1996.

URNG refers to the declaration of innocence in trial of Posada Carriles in El Paso, Texas, on charges of 11 charges of perjury, fraud and obstruction of justice.

The text stated that those crimes and the non-guilty verdict are a mockery and an example of the cynicism and double standards which has always displayed the northern empire.

It repudiates and condemns the non-guilty verdict to a well- known terrorist who has left his sad, dark and bloody aftermath of damage and destruction in many countries of America, including Guatemala.

Also ratifies the immediate release of Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Rene Gonzalez, known as the Cuban Five.

Regarding the hypocrite policy of the empire, it states that is not only seen in the absolution of terrorist Posada Carriles, but in carrying an unexcused economic block of half a century, which is the clearest example of state terrorism by the U.S. government against a worthy and revolutionary country as it is Cuba.
